Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said the government officials will be promoted considering their skills to work but not their age.
She said this while attending her first office at the Public Administration Ministry here on Thursday morning after taking the charge as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for the third consecutive time.
Sheikh Hasina said the officials have to prevent corruption so that corruption cannot spread.
Everyone must abide by the government employee’s rules and regulations, she warned.
She said that the services of the government must be conveyed to the people as they have elected us to serve them.
A number of major development works are going on at the same time and the economic situation of the country will be changed after the end of those mega projects, she hoped.
Sheikh Hasina said the main goal of the government is to reduce the poverty rate.
Seeking everyone’s cooperation, she said that the government is trying its best to achieve this goal.
